For sale is a pair of Acoustic Research AR-2ax speakers. These are the early model with cloth surround woofers. I’ve had them for 10+ years, and for much of that time they were my go-to speakers. Unfortunately, I have too many speakers and these have to go. To the best of my knowledge, they have never been opened, and the grills are original. As it typical with these speakers, the pots that are used to adjust the sound are somewhat scratchy. I always kept them set to max, and they seemed to work well at that setting. These speakers could benefit from replacing the capacitors, but they sound great as is. The cabinets are solid, but have a few chips in the veneer as shown in the photos, and some scratches.
