Both oiled walnut AR-2ax speakers have been well cared for by a single owner. The cabinets are in especially good condition (see pictures). They feature an acoustic suspension 10-inch woofer, a 4-inch midrange, and a. Dome tweeter for high frequencies. The acoustic suspension woofer (sometimes known as air suspension) uses the elasticity of air within. The sealed speaker cabinet to provide the restoring force for the woofer cone in order reproduce deep bass tones. Both woofers have rebuilt woofer cones. The midrange and tweeter level pots on the back are functional over the full range but need to be cleaned and lubricated. All components are original except the rebuilt woofer cones. The serial numbers are close i. 258941 and 258809 per original paperwork on the back of the cabinet. The AR2ax nameplates are intact and the off-white linen grills have no holes, tears, or stains.
