Vintage Acoustic Research AR-4x Main Stereo Speakers in NICE shape Sound Good. This is a really nice pair of old Acoustic Research ar-4x speakers. The grills do not come off, so I can inspect the drivers, but I have no reason to think they have damage. They do not sound distorted, or funny in any way. They tweeters work too. However, the adjustment knob shows it’s age, and has some “static” and doesn’t always relay the sound at certain spots. The grills are not perfect, but pretty good, and only have some small spots of discoloration. The boxes are really good too, other than the bottoms, that have light scratches. Overall, they are great speaker, and considering their age, in exceptional shape. Really have a nice sound to them. Please let me know if you have any questions.
