These beautiful speakers are in excellent condition for their age. They produce INCREDIBLE sound. The crossovers were recapped modified to the improved version about 3 years ago. The cabinets are 9/10. There are a few minor nit-picky nicks which are very difficult to catch on camera. The grills are in in great shape with some minor wear around one of the corners. Both grill badges are in tact. All foam around the woofers is in excellent shape. Did I say these speakers sound phenomenal? They deliver earth shaking bass which one listen to “The Flight of the Cosmic Hippo” proves. Mids and highs are smooth and crisp. They produce a non-fatiguing sound which allows you to listen for hours on end. Unlike some speakers which are are good at playing only one type of music, these AR 9LSI’s sound excellent with any musical genre. I have thrown classical, jazz, female vocals, strings, acoustic guitar, country, classic rock, rap, big band, and metal at them and they excel. You name it, they sound great with any music. These speakers produce a huge sound stage that will make you feel as if you are in the concert hall. If you are looking for some pristine speakers which are end game, look no further than these.
