Rare vintage Acoustic Research amplifier and speaker set. The amplifier was recently professionally refurbished and the speakers recently had the woofers reconed and refoamed by an AR speaker specialist. He reported that the internals were still in perfect working order, a rarity for speakers of this vintage. They have a beautiful rich sound and look great. They could easily be refinished to original condition. The cases have some scratches and discoloration of the finish and the speaker covers are showing their age but have no large rips. The cover frames are very fragile and have almost broken in spots but still hold their shape and sit in the case perfectly. This is a perfect set for someone who loves the sound and doesn’t mind a vintage look or someone with refinishing skills to really make them shine again.
