This sale is for the one (1) speaker pictured only. Please READ READ READ the full description!!! This single AR-1 is from the estate of an elderly gentleman. Through online research, we found out that the #1 terminal is Neg/Common, and #3 is the Pos. We tested this speaker with a Pioneer SX-750 and it sounds amazing! We did not want to drive it too hard due to it’s age, so we VERY VERY slowly brought the volume ONLY up to the halfway point. There was good clear sound from both drivers without any rattling or unwanted noise whatsoever! The highs were very crisp and clear. This speaker has a low serial number of # 5242. We were told that the reason that there was only one of them is because he had used it for a mono setup. We did not attempt to remove the grille to inspect the speakers, as it is glued on. We were able to shine just enough light into the front of the cloth to verify that the correct speakers are inside the cabinet. From what we could see through the grille cloth the upper driver looked like it may have some cosmetic damage but if so, it did not affect the sound whatsoever when we tested it! Speakers may need some restoration. It is simply too hard to tell by shining a light through the cloth. We are not sure if cloth is original or not. Aside from normal wear and a few blemishes, the wood appears to be in very good condition for it’s age. Even the bottom is in great shape! The pictures show all of this so please view all of them carefully! It appears to be lacquered Mahogany, which is also a sign of this speaker possibly being from the first run of production. However, we will guarantee that the speaker will arrive to you with both drivers working! We simply cannot guarantee anything beyond this point when it comes to a speaker this old.
