For sale: Pristine pair of Acoustic Research AR-5s which I recently found in a guest bedroom closet. I think they are an accidental leftover from an antique speaker collection I got rid of 10-15 years ago. I don’t remember when or where I got them, but they are in their original boxes and look brand new. The photo showing one speaker in its box actually shows the bottom surface of its cabinet. I’ve been listening to them lately and they sound just as awesome as my AR-3as did. All components are original. The woofer surrounds are in perfect condition (see photos). All 4 mid-range and tweeter controls rotate smoothly and have no dead spots. The cabinets are scratch and blemish free. I do not think these speakers need ANY restoration. For collectors and audiophiles, the speaker serial numbers are K08539 and K09202, possibly a matched pair. Bring your own CD if you like. As is, of course.
