These are a beast of a pair of speakers. Incredible articulate bass and brilliant highs. Can play at any level, mild to wild! All the surrounds have been replaced and I just performed the LSi modification which helps tame the mid range and extend the highs. These are fully recapped using NPE Dayton for woofer and a combo of Dayton and Audyn Poly for the mid/tweeter. These have a added bump in clarity compared to an all NPE build. I know this because I have had several sets of these with different cap builds. Grilles and cabinets have some minor bumps and bruises but still very presentable with real wood veneer!
