Acoustic Research AR9 speakers. The Sound is Incredible. Super Deep lows, very open and clean midrange and super clear upper Midrange and High frequencies. There is absolutely NO Harshness anywhere in these speakers. They are extremely capable speakers, with detail you will never get in any 3 way speaker. You will hear things that you never heard before. These were and are still considered to be AR’s best speaker ever made. I have heard most all of them, and these are far more clear and detailed than all of the rest, except possibly the AR9LSI.
