My father took Hi-Fi very seriously and chose a system of separates to give us as a wedding present in 1980 “because you’ll never justify spending this much on yourselves”! I was 22 at the time and loved listening to the surprising range of tones delivered by these beautiful speakers. So, sadly, these speakers are wasted on me now. As you can see, I have re-foamed them with rubber woofer surrounds and polished the cabinets (a few spots of polish can be seen on the black surrounds in one of the pictures). I haven’t replaced dust-caps which were dented as this apparently doesn’t affect sound quality. I’m pleased to say there are no scratches or chips in the veneer.
