This offering is for a pair of Acoustic Research AR-6 Loudspeakers , rare to find early edition with alnico woofers. These are in near showroom condition. All drivers are original, and woofer surrounds have been refoamed. Walnut veneer has been lightly sanded and refinished with Watco oil. All corners are intact, with few light scr atches on speaker bottoms. Grill cloth has been replaced with wheat-colored open-weave linen matching the original fabric look and transparency (see photos). The AR-6 brass badges are refinished original, and all cabinet paperwork is intact. A copy of AR-6 literature will be included. If you are considering acquiring a pair of the AR-4 series speakers (which I have owned in the past), the AR-6s are hands-down far more dynamic and engaging, and with phenomenal bass for their size.
