Extremely Nice Looking ORIGINAL Speaker Cabinets and Sound Quality! Found shelf mounted in recent estate sale. Beautiful Early model, uses same tweeter as AR3 and midrange from AR4. The best part it features the 10 Inch, Cloth Surround, Alnico Magnet Woofer recently totally rebuilt and installed. All Drivers are original and Matched. ORIGINAL AR Tweeter and MID POTS were disassembled, the contacts polished, the spring tension adjusted, an-anti corrosion silicone applied, now perfect again. New High Grade Audio Caps installed, originals were out of tolerance like always. Early Woofer was just completely serviced by Vintage AR of Albany NY experts in these restorations. PRO JOB = They removed the existing surround, cone, spider and voice coil, re-centered the voice coil in the magnetic gap, re-bonded all applicable surfaces and reassembled. Tweeters and MID Range Drivers are operating to spec and are also original. Speakers have been thoroughly tested and sound fantastic. They are truly high performance and should be regarded as one of the finest speakers ever made by Acoustic Research. This is one of my favorite AR speakers. Early AR2AX’s are truly exceptional. ORIGINAL EARLY VINTAGE Grills and Badges are in extremely nice condition, these grills are quite rare. Cabinets are in extremely nice condition, please review pictures. There are minor scratches on one top and one bottom. Hardly noticeable from afar. Please see pictures for your review and acceptance. Technically this set of speakers sound great and will operate reliably long term.
