Not only are they a phenomenal pair of speakers with dual woofers, no need to use a subwoofer with these, but these were custom made by AR as a AR9ls speakers produced for a very special client of theirs. I doubt youll ever find another pair of these factory finished and Rosewood! These have been restored electronically and function 100%. Some interesting restoration bonuses are each speaker has a switch on the back that will let you select between the original style NPE crossover capacitors or modern upgrade type film capacitors. All capacitors in the crossover are brand new. And last but not least, a second switch will allow you to listen to the speaker and its original form as AR9 LS, or switch to a very popular modification for these, which would be updating the crossover to the AR9 LSi spec. I felt these were important to be able to hear the difference, and also have the option available to keep the original sound of the speaker as it was intended. Some minor imperfections on the cabinets and grills, but still stunningly presentable.
