These are classic Acoustic Research AR2AX, three-way speakers in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. They have been completely restored with re-foamed woofers, new L-pads and new binding posts. The original condenser packs are still present and work beautifully. These 3-way floor speakers feature 10-inch woofers, cone midranges and AR’s unique dome tweeters, with brightness controls for the midranges and tweeters. These speakers work perfectly and sound beautiful! The new brightness control L-pads work smoothly, with no scratching or drop-outs. They have some minor blemishes in the cabinets from age and use, but nothing significant (see photos). The original grill cloths have been replaced, but give a similar look to the original linen.
