One of the tweeters does not sound proper on one of the speakers. The other sounds amazing. Both of the main drivers are in excellent shape. Cabinets are in good shape as well. Both of the grills are in good shape. These speakers are gems, I believe they are from 1980. Sound clean and very smooth even with one tweeter not being as it should.

Audiophile RARE Acoustic Research AR Classic Model 8 (8 woofers) Speakers. I cannot find another pair like it. Maybe the baby brother to the AR9’s. In any event I was told these speakers need a pre-amp hooked up to them and plenty of power to work properly. At least 200 watts, 300 would be better. The cabinets are in nice shape with a only a few nics but nothing a black Sharpie cant fix. Foam surrounds are fine.
