Series # are 43419 / 43430 very close, made on the same day. (Includes Vintage stands that match perfectly) Cabinets are in Excellent Condition there are a few very light scratches on the bottom of one Speaker that sit on the Stand. These Speakers have not been oiled, just cleaned with wood cleaner, so what you see is what you get. Take a look at the Pictures and see what you think. Pictures are part of the Description. Woofers have been Professionally refoamed by National Speaker in Denver Colorado. All drivers are working fine. Hi and mid adjustment pots are working. Acoustic Research AR18bx HiFi speakers – perfect for Jazz, Blues and any kind of instrumental or vocal related songs. Very good cosmetic condition – please refer to photos. All drivers in excellent working order and condition. Dimensions – 441 x 275 x 210mm deep. They can be positioned close to the wall as per closed design. They will be packed very well, drivers protected and possibly double boxed for a safe journey. I’ve bought those speakers years ago second hand and been using in my small room for ocasional Jazz lisening since. The mid range, high range are wonderful, bass is not deep but tight and controlled. The great thing about those speakers are mids which excel on any vocal songs. One of the best little speaker ever. It is thought the NS10 won out in the popularity stakes because of their highly identifiable white cone woofers. The cabinets have few marks and some corners micro chipped but nothing major. The front grills are missing I never had them. Back in 1982 Edgar Villchur, the founder of the original Acoustic Research Company already knew stuff about acoustic engineering loudspeakers design many modern day designers have only come to know in recent years. One such aspect is the minimalist cross over network, that wen implemented in conjunction with custom designed drive units, cause for unparalleled transparency from the transducer system. AR’s most famous loudspeakers, the AR back in the 1982 already featured modern day buzz like in house custom designed and manufactured drive units, minimalist cross-overs and ferro-fluid cooling. Type: 2 way, 2 driver loudspeaker system. Frequency Response: 52Hz to 25kHz. Recommended Amplifier: 10 to 75W. Bass: carbon loaded polypropylene cone. Tweeter: 25mm low mass, liquid cooled. Cared for lovingly, they have all original drivers and the woofers have been recentlyprofessionally re-foamed by Sound Remedy. They have been evaluated to be in excellent condition by a distinguishedaudio salon. The cabinets are in original condition and maintained withlemon oil and bees wax. The original grill cloths have yellowed slightly overthe years but are very serviceable. There is a small ding on the front of oneof the cabinets as pictured. One of the badges is missing (it may be in thebox) but I will include a replacement set. I would recommend putting speakers together on a skid for motor transport by a local company.
