In very good condition, perfect drivers, with signs of wear on the cases including a large scratch on the side of one of the cases as highlighted in the picture. If you want to use the grill covers the cloth could use replacing as pictured. We gave these beauties brand new foam, tested them and they perform wonderfully. Rarely available edition of these classics of the AR series in walnut finish. Ships in orginal box. T let these get away they don. Mid Century Modern Stereo Speaker. You are looking at a nice Mid Century pair of speakers. They are priced EACH… Please select qty 2 to get the pair. Otherwise its just one speaker. Wood cabinets are in nice shape, with few scratches and abrasions indicative of use, no evident damage to the wood. Cloth grills are slightly dirty. Not able to look at actual condition of the drivers, but they played, and played loudly. They meter at about 7 ohms across the terminals. The rear trim pots have issues… Scratchy sounds and are not working smoothly or properly… May just need cleaning or replacement. For use as is or parts, restore. These are vintage electronic parts, that are susceptible to damage with misuse, miswiring, overdriving etc… Please look at pics close. Vintage Ar2Ax walnut wood cabinet speakers with the rare original aluminum 10″ woofer on 12″ alloy housing with cloth surround in good condition. Great bass really rocks, with a 30 amp Marantz working hard. Other drivers, 5 midrange and 3 1/2 tweeter, also original and sound fine. Pots are not good but crossovers fine and are rewired to play at brightest setting – where they would always be for most people. These are classic acoustic suspension speakers and require a powerful quality amplifier of at least 30 watts RMS.
