This listing is for my Vintage Acoustic Research AR9LS floor-standing speaker systems. The overall condition of these speakers is very good (see photos). The oiled walnut cabinets are beautiful. Very few tiny scratches and scrapes do not mar the cabinets’ appearance (and they have never been refinished). The grills and grill cloths are in excellent shape. However, those of you who are familiar with these speakers know about “foam surround rot”. This occurs in such speakers that are over 25-30 years old and result in unacceptable sound quality to me. Those symptoms have occurred in these speakers (see internal photos). Specifications of the speakers are given in one of my photos. Two massive woofers (one 12″ front-facing, one 10″ down-firing); 8″ lower mid-range; 1.5″ upper mid-range, 3/4 hi-range. As each speaker system is 52″ tall, 18.5″ wide and 14.5′ deep, and weighs approx. They MUST be picked up at my home in Jupiter, FL. If you have any questions, please ask before making an offer.
