ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AR-4X Vintage Bookshelf Speakers Including Original Labels

This is an impressive little speaker. I hooked it up to my Harmon Kardon integrated to test it and each of these sound great – even at low power. I tried to give you a photo of each side, front, and back in order so that you can survey how they look. This pair has some small white paint transfer on the edges 1mm now and then, and some scratches. Some oil restorer in cherry or dark walnut would make these come back to life cosmetically – but they are solid in function. I tried to give you intentionally good photos of the few blemishes that these have – so you can really know what you get. OK ask any questions.

Acoustic Research AR2 Speakers Original Condition Including Oil Caps 1960-1964

AR2 speakers in this condition do not come up very often. They have been in my personal collection for many years. The condition in all aspects is exceptional. There is TYPO on green tape listing serial #’s see back picture for proper serial. Oil Caps tested OK and wirewound old style pots were perfect. The woofer installed is the famous Alnico 10 Inch with cloth surrounds. Woofer spyders and baskets re-glued and sealed with Vintage AR Surround sealer. Grills, cabinets and badges are in fantastic condition. The finish is remarkable. Do some research to see what folks say about this model. If you like natural sound and are a fan for strings this speaker is for you. Make someone Happy this season, maybe yourself. Packaging is extensive and safe. Each speakers is packed separately and will require signature upon arrival.
