Available is a pair of vintage Acoustic Research AR-9 loudspeakers. These are tall (very heavy) floor standing models. Each has dual 12 woofers per cabinet, both side firing. A low-midrange driver, high midrange, and tweeter in front. Adjustable gains are also on the lower front. The crossovers are very stout i noticed, when refoaming the woofers. The input terminals are ready for bi-amp applications. The lower right/front corner edge of 1 cabinet has veneer that has been comprised, as shown in photos. All grills (6 in total) are in very decent condition with very minor flaws on some corners (woofer grills on the bottom sides). Front grilles are clean, and have the original nameplates intact. Woofer foams were redone with AR specific 11 surrounds. One woofer needed a centercap, which was replaced. The 8 LMR’s also received new foams. Mids and tweeters work perfectly, no work was performed. Attractive walnut-adorned heavyweight towers from approx mid to late 70’s with high dynamic range and high output. Overall speaker is in nice working condition for its age. It sound beautiful though the increase and decrease knob in the back sometime has some static while trying to fine tune the sound but still works well. 1 of the grill is missing the logo tag. Also please see picture 10 as it missing 1 bolt that hold the speaker wire tight in place though you can just wrap them speaker round it. General these flaws are very minor. Please ask questions if needed.

For sale are two Acoustic Research AR-4x Loudspeakers. One of them has a chip on the side. I have not tested these. These are very old, from the 1970’s. I removed the speaker grille from the speaker with the “AR” square on it to take a photo. They are held in with staples and are very difficult to remove, and I injured myself in the process. Therefore, I will not be taking the grille off the other one. The grill was put back on after taking the photo. Not responsible if not working.
