Since 1990, I have enjoyed collecting and restoring antique radios and vintage audio…. Part(s) for their speakers, application, or DIY project. Judging whether part(s) is compatible with their speaker’s specs! For sale is a pair of 8 MIDRANGES removed from a set of 1980 vintage AR94R speakers. Part # is 200001-1, and these MIGHT be same model mids used in some versions of the AR93 and AR94 model speakers, possibly others? On 06/07/22, I installed new foam surrounds. No sloppy glue or voice-coil rubbing! Tested and play great… Includes the rear foam install gaskets and the installation screws. These were the upper 8 drivers in the AR94R speakers and crossed over to function/play as midranges, between 350 HZ and 2000 Hz. They could possibly work as woofers but I don’t know their overall frequency response/range. The AR94R speakers were a 6 ohm “nominal impedance” system. A couple of things worth noting… On one of the mids, the riveted wire terminal is loose and able to swing left to right. If desired, I could apply a little solder around the riviet to stabilize the terminal from moving.. One of the mid’s fabric dustcap was slightly pushed in (a common issue with these speakers), but I was able to pull it back out. This is only cosmetic and does not affect performance.
