Woofer 4 Ohm, 12 High Output 90 dB 250 Watts AR Acoustic Research replacement. This is our Mavin EM-TL3006Y-4, a excellent sounding woofer, great for a Acoustic Research replacement, or for a new system design. The EM-TL3006Y-4, is a 4 ohm high end speaker with a durable stiff paper cone and a no rot rubber surround. Meaning this speaker will last for a great many years, unlike the foam surrounds. In fact I spent a couple of years researching and checking out companies until I found the one I wanted to use. A choice based on the Quality, Workmanship, and the Fidelity of Sound, price wasn’t a big issue, but having a quality product was. My EM-Tl3006Y-4, is a 12, 4 ohm, 250 watt driver high output driver. Rated SPl is a minimum 90 dB through the practical frequency range, which is 30 Hz. The SPL drops to 89.4 dB at 20 Hz. Which is still very good. Better than industry standards is what I was looking for and I know you will find that the EM-TL3006Y-4 is just that above the rest in sound,, quality and workmanship. What is standard about the driver is the fit, it drops into any standard opening designed for a 12 speaker. I think you will find the specifications speaks for themself, they are in line with any and all of the major brands used in speakers. Whether you aree looking for a drop in replacement for an old set of Pioneers, Yamaha’s, Klipsch, JBL or Cerwin Vegas, this speaker will drop ring in and bring that speaker back to life. Duarability was another factor, instead of going with the industry standard foam surrounds that die in a few years, we chose to go with a durable and long lasting rubber surround. A surround that offers the best performance and increased speaker life, although the cost is slightly higher it is paid back in the added years of continued speaker performance. Looking for a set of woofers for the new home design project, then you can’t go wrong, we provide you with a full set of Thiele Small specification so that you can design a cabinet that will give you the utmost performance. This is not for the sale of a tweeter. This is a repair service for your defective tweeter. We have been offering a rebuild service for the AR-3 Midrange for sometime. We have been working on this process for several years. Having now been successful with many of ours and some of our customers, we are now listing this service. WE HAVE HAD DRIVERS SHOW UP WITH NO DOCUMENTATION. By now, many if not most of the AR-3 and AR-2ax hard, orange dome tweeters suffer from low output volume or no response at all. You will send your tweeter to us and we will rebuild it. We will repair the voice coil if possible and free up the stiffened internal and external suspensions. We will also install new tinned copper wire leads for easy re-installation. Note: later production AR-2ax utilized a 3/4 inch, black dome tweeter. This is not for those tweeters. For those, we will be offering a different repair service. Be aware, once we rebuild your original tweeter, it will likely be louder in volume than your other one unless you rebuild them both. However, if your second tweeter still has a strong output, you can achieve a balance with the rear volume controls. Surround each tweeter with a generous wrap of bubble wrap and box in a sturdy box. Insure it with the carrier. Note: if you intend to have us service your tweeter do not attempt to disassemble or repair it prior to sending it to us. It is likely that you will damage it beyond what we can repair.

This is for one original Front Wired AR-3a/LST Tweeter. Initially we have 8 available. We had been saving these for an LST restoration. However, we are no longer doing complete restorations. We are seriously downsizing our inventory. Tested with test equipment and a music source. Nice long leads for attachment. These are a nominal 4 ohms but measure about 2.6 ohms as with all of these tweeters. We have over 200 AR items listed.
