Sometimes the speakers sound clean, sometimes garbled with one or two losing signal at random. It all seems very dependent on speaker and transmitter placement and how much signal inference there is from other devices. All volume wheels/buttons, channel select and speaker output have been tested and are working. Only channels 2 & 3 would connect to both speakers. Channel 1 would connect to only one speaker. The speakers seem to work best with about a foot of separation and at a minimum distance of about 6 feet from the transmitter. There seems to be an issue with the transmitter output cable that can cause signal loss if bumped, though the interior connection looks good. If you have any requests or questions, ask before purchasing. Requests to remove packing slips or invoices will be ignored.

This is a pair of vintage Acoustic Research AR-2ax speakers. They have been tested and they do work. That being said, I could only hear sound coming from the woofers. They are serial number AX 36559 and AX 39274 respectively. The cabinets show medium wear with scratches and dings missing finish etc. The speakers themselves look good and the cabinets are in good condition structurally just not visually. This pair would be great candidates for restoration. Please see all pictures and ask any questions before purchasing.

Up for sale, an AR3 / AR3a tweeter. This speaker also comes with the mounting hardware as pictured. I checked this tweeter with a multimeter and got a really high reading. This is odd because I normally see either no reading or a fluctuating reading if the speaker is no good. So this tweeter may work, I cant say for sure. If not it is a good candidate for a rebuild.
