Vintage AR Stereo Receiver Model R, Acoustic Research. Since this is a vintage receiver I would seriously have it inspected to make sure that its in the best condition that it can be. Both channels working, FM tuner pulls in faint stations even without a good antenna. Both speaker outputs sound fine when tested. There is some static when turning the knobs on the front panel as well as the switches on the right of the panel. My guess is that the potentiometers and switches will need to be cleaned. The tuning meter works and feels pretty smooth when using it. Im not sure if the stereo light works since it did not come on when testing the fm stations and the dash light isnt on either. Please inspect all pictures up close for cosmetic condition, face plate and lettering are in very good condition and could use a good polish. The walnut cabinet shows light markings and has scuff and very small seem split on one side but overall good. Please inspect all pictures for any cosmetic defects. The unit has some cosmetic blemishes on it but please view all of the pictures since they are part of the description. Please feel free to ask questions before purchasing. FET front end with 4-section capacitor. Multisection crystal IF filter. Self-resetting thermostatic circuit breakers in both channels. AR Model R Left. The small meter on the right side of the dial is the Center channel tuning meter. To the left of that is the Stereo Indicator light. It has outputs for a tape recorder, center channel, headphone and 4-16 ohm speakers. AR Model R Right. The front panel consists of. Ganged Bass and Treble tone controls. 17-1/4 W x 6 H x 1.
