Vintage Teledyne Acoustic Research AR 30B pair, Pristine condition

These AR 30 B speakers are about the same size and look very similar to the very expensive AR Connoisseur Series 30 speakers although the cabinet finish of the Connoisseur series is of a higher quality (the 30Bs finish is a wood grain looking vinyl finish–see photos). These 30Bs are fairly big (29″ X 13.75 X 9″) and weigh around 40 lbs each. They were obtained from an estate sale and had been in storage for years. Other than the woofer foam surrounds, they were functional, in great physical shape, and looked like they had never been used. The foam surrounds on the 10 inch woofers had deteriorated over time and I replaced them with new surrounds. The only other discrepancy I could see is that a corner of the rear connection plastic cups has a small crack but is hardly noticeable and doesn’t affect the mounting of the cup to the cabinet. Functionally, with the 10 inch woofer and 1 inch dome tweeter (I believe the crossover is 1800 hz), these acoustic suspension speakers (no port) performed as I expected and appear (to my ears) to have that typical dynamic AR sound. These should do particularly well for anyone who likes AR speakers–or for anyone else for that matter. The photos shows the condition of the speakers and.
