I only have one original box. Tweeters mids and subs are all working. See pics for cosmetic wear. There are some small stains on the speaker grills. Some of the fabric is torn on the edges in places. Speakers will be packed separately due to size and weight. They will be professionally packed with 1.5+ of styrofoam or comparable on each side.

Pair AR 200027 8 WOOFERS for Acoustic Research AR94R AR94 Speakers RE-FOAMED

Since 1990, I have enjoyed collecting and restoring antique radios and vintage audio…. Part(s) for their speakers, application, or DIY project. Judging whether part(s) is compatible with their speaker’s specs! For sale is a pair of 8 WOOFERS removed from a set of 1980 vintage AR94R speakers. Part # is 200027, and these MIGHT be same model type woofers used in some versions of the AR93 and AR94 model speakers, possibly others? I’ve seen woofers in other models with different part #s on label e. 200036, but think they could well be the same electronically and could be used as replacements? The AR94R speakers were a 6 ohm “nominal impedance” system, and the lower 8 drivers/woofers were crossed over at 350 Hz on high end. One woofer’s fabric dustcap was pushed in and “crumpled” (a common issue with these speakers), but I was able to pull it back out pretty well. There’s still some small “dents” in the dustcap, but this is only cosmetic and does not affect performance. Once installed, noone sees the dustcaps and the woofers will perform great, like new! On 06/07/22, I installed new foam surrounds. No sloppy glue or voice-coil rubbing! Woofers tested and play great… Includes the rear foam install gaskets and the installation screws. 2 Acoustic Research #200003 Woofers Speakers Re-foamed AR91 9 11 3A

Offered here is a working pair of Acoustic Research model #200003 woofers in good used condition. When removed from their enclosures, one of them still had the #200003 part number sticker on the frame, but it lost. They have had new foam surrounds installed and have been tested for sound. They measure 12″ across the widest part of the front of the frame (11-1/2″ bolt pattern). When re-foaming was done, the original 2 dust caps were removed & the voice coils shimmed and centered. They were replaced with 4.5 dust caps… Same speaker, bigger dust caps. They both ohm out at 2.5 ohms DCR. Typical and normal DCR measurements for vintage speakers designed to operate at 4 ohms impedance. These were harvested from a pair of AR91 enclosures, but this model was also used in many other AR enclosures. PLEASE do your research to insure proper fit in your enclosure! Cosmetic condition is used. They show minor wear from use and age and do not look new. Please be sure to view all of the pictures. They have been re-foamed. Although they are close serial #’s the cabinets do vary especially in the front and back. Serial #’s 76558 & 76822. Brand new pots from Vintage AR installed. The new pots woke these up and they sound absolutely incredible. PLEASE look at all the pictures, they are beautiful. These also have all the original untouched crossovers and internal wiring. One of the finest untouched original pairs I have ever come across. All the original paperwork is also included. Chasrock Services is proud to be. (ISTA 6-FEDEX_A Protocol Certified). This is a registered certification in electronic packaging. They put that package through rigorous testing including the following. Shock Test: (10 random drops from 30 Inches). Compression Test: The package is then tested in a press at 976.94 lbs. Vibration Test: The package is then put on a vibration table and violently shaken for 45 minutes. You must pass all three tests without any damage, cosmetically or functionality. I think it’s worth a few extra bucks, because they can’t be replaced.
