This listing is for a SANSUI SP-M1 Speaker Pair. During testing, sound output was confirmed from the speakers. However, one tweeter produced no sound. As a pre-owned item, expect signs of use including dirt, discoloration, scratches, and scuffs. The speakers haven’t been used in quite a while. The woofers are working, but the tweeters aren’t. Possibly a capacitor on the crossover, or condensation on the frequency pot. Please see pics for the cosmetic condition and what you will receive. Tracking is always uploaded.

Evaluate and test one pair of Acoustic Research hifi speakers. S/n 43120 and 43122. Midrange driver not working on S/N 43120. Found that driver would work when taken out of circuit. Low frequency driver to expose crossover. With poor soldering and connections. Two bad connections and cleaned/ re-soldered connections, due. This speaker are tested as working at this time, after two poor. Also noted that several caps and resistors were non-OEM in the. The two resistors are 25ohm/10w, but OEM spec is. Given that the two rear adjusting pots on each are corroded I have not tried the speakers, and as I have not removed the grills I do not know the condition of the surrounds. If you’re familiar with these speakers you know they’re oriented horizontally and not vertically. The cabinets themselves are in very good condition as are the grills, and all the grill badges are present. THIS IS A PICK-UP ONLY. The item is located in Sussex New Jersey, postal zip code 07461. I can not recommend a local shipper. If you’re picking up in person you need to have a vehicle to transport this in. Any third-party shipper will have to sign off on condition and provide me in writing their assumption of all liability in transport. THIS VINTAGE SPEAKER CABINET IS IN GOOD CONDITION OVERALL, HOWEVER THE SPEAKER IS CLEARLY ROTTED. THIS SPEAKER HAS BEEN UNUSED FOR MANY YEARS. PERHAPS SOME USEABLE PARTS CAN BE TAKEN FROM IT. THE CABINET IS 24″ X 13.5″ X 11.5 AND WEIGHS 40 LBS.
