I BELIEVE THE CABS, AND XOVERS ARE ORIGINAL AR2A PARTS. ALL OTHER DRIVERS, AND GRILLS HAVE BEEN UPDATED. THIS WAS DONE YEARS AGO, AND I HAVE FORGOT WHAT AR MODELS ALL OF THESE AR DRIVERS CAME FROM. I KNOW THAT SEVERAL DRIVERS ARE HI QUALITY FROM NEWER AR SPEAKERS. IN MY OPINION, ALL DRIVERS ARE WORKING. AND IN MY OPINION, THE SOUND IS MUCH CLEANER, AND DETILED THAN THE ORIGINALS WERE. IN MY OPINION, SAME DEEP BASS FROM THE WOOFERS (ps, in my opinion the woofer surrounds are in good shape) IN MY OPINION, THEY SOUND A WHOLE LOT BETTER. IN MY OPINION, CABS AND GRILLS LOOK PRETTY NICE. IN MY OPINION, CABS COULD USE SOME ATTENTION TO BRING BACK SOME SHINE, ETC. PS, I TRIED MY BEST TO SEAL AROUND ALL OF THE DRIVERS, AND OTHER AREAS USING SAME SEALER TYPE AS ORIGINAL. INSURED FOR THE PRICE PAID. FEEL FREE TO MAKE ME AN OFFER. I ALSO HAVE THE 2 ORIGINAL CLOTH SURROUND WOOFERS THAT CAME WITH THESE SPEAKERS. ONE WORKS, (but the cone looks kinda bad) the other has a beautiful cone, but the voice coil needs to be glued on, and the cone then needs to be clued onto the frame.

Three pairs of vintage AR speakers. The tweeters on the AR-2AX’s can cut out, but if you fiddle with the crossover controls you can bring them back in. They do sound great when dialed in. Cosmetically there’s some candle wax on the back of one cabinet as well as various nicks and scratches, etc. Great pair for a full restoration with relatively close production #’s. The AR 4X’s with original grill cloth sound like the tweeters are out. Woofers sound good though. Cabs definitely need a refin. Good pair for restoration or parts. The 4xa’s are fully functioning and in nice cosmetic condition. There is a stain on one of the grill clothes though.
