The Acoustic Research AR-5 Tower Speakers are a pair of right and left speakers with an integrated powered subwoofer. The sleek black speakers have an audiophile sound. Ideal for TV, video, and music lovers looking to enhance their home audio setup. When I first got these speakers they needed a few things. I wound up upgrading the surrounds, recapped the amps and a few other things. I have been blessed to evaluate many different speakers over the years. These AR5s are exceptional. They seem to do everything right. The 300 watt subwoofer produces as much bass as one could possibly hope for. Everyone I have let listen to these have all been impressed. Smooth, detailed non-fatiguing sound. I had intended on keeping these but circumstances are so that I need to sell them.

Up for sale is a Vintage Pair of Acoustic Research AR-11 Speakers. (These are an updated version of the famed AR-3a). These are from my personal collection. The speaker drivers are all in mint condition as can be seen. New Foam Installed on Woofers. Cabinets have some markings and light scratches from age but are solid and pretty clean. ACOUSTIC RESEARCH SPEAKERS AR3a. # 85448 and 85456. We had them professionaly restored. New surrounds for the woofers. Also, the four potentiometers were changed. The crossovers have been upgraded with Sprague capacitors. All necessary updates have been made and they sound better than ever.
