When I was restoring a pair of AR9s and a pair of AR90s some years ago I bought too many drivers just in case. I have been storing these and have decided to part with them. I’m just too old now to want to play anything so loudly that I’m likely to damage a driver. So, I can sell them or asked to be buried with them. In addition to reclaiming some shelf-space, I hope someone will get a pair of the mighty AR9 or AR90s back in good working order. This is the 4 Ohm version. You might want to double-check me on this, but I don’t think they are the proper replacement for anything except the 9 and the 90. Acoustic Research AR-9 AR- 90 Upper Midrange Dome speakers Original 2000-28-0 Made in USA. This is a pair of the original AR upper mid range drivers designed for top of the line AR-9 and AR-90 floor standing models, both are in great working condition and provide clean response. There is no dent or wrinkle on the dome surfaces. There are some light colored fibers sticking to one dome but have no effect on the sound. AR parts no is 200028-0 and made in US. Knowledgeable audiophiles appreciate that AR dome midrange drivers are the key to and responsible for the well regarded AR sound. Good original replacement AR parts are getting more difficult to come by these days. Both drivers read 3.6 ohms DCR on my meter. I have been a fan of the classical period of AR speakers. In the past I owned AR 4, 2ax, 3a, 9 and 11. This comes from my personal collection of premium quality AR drivers parts. I know how to protect and package the delicate speaker drivers.
