PAIR of Acoustic Research AR2AX Speakers – TESTED, Sound Great, SEE VIDEO. Up for sale is a pair of AR (Acoustic Research) 2ax speakers from 1973. These 3-way acoustic suspension speakers are in very good working condition. (See video) They feature a 10-inch woofer, 3.5-inch midrange, and 3/4-inch dome tweeter and are highly regarded for their warm sound. The attenuators (potentiometers) on the back of the speakers for adjusting the treble and midrange levels are working but can be a little touchy/scratchy when used. There are scratches on the oiled walnut wood case veneers especially on the bottoms as shown in the photos.

Up for sale, a good vintage Acoustic Research AR3a tweeter speaker. This is from a very early serial number AR3a speaker. This unit did not have a date code on it, but the other drivers from these speakers were stamped with August of 1967 dates. Serial numbers: 3A 00144 & 3A 01511. Please see the attached pictures and video for condition and demonstration. View my other listings for an array of interesting items at great prices. Please ask for additional pictures or videos if needed. The vintage stereo gear that I sell IS vintage, meaning that it is 30, 40, or even 50+ years old. With that being said, I can not offer any warranties on it. Up for sale, a good vintage Acoustic Research AR3a tweeter driver. This speaker is in good working order. Some of the drivers from these speakers do not have date stamps, but the rest of them are all stamped with a date code of 1972. Please see the attached pictures for condition and ohm reading. NOTE, it is difficult to get an accurate reading from the thin lead wires, but i did play these speakers prior to taking them apart and they do sound great. Incredible condition for their age. Almost impossible to find in this condition. One speaker grille has is a small hole on the fabric cover near the AR badge (see picture). Hat you see in the pictures is exactly what you will receive. I did not clean or polish and will clean up nicely, if desired.
