These Acoustic Research speakers have been tested and appear to be in excellent functioning condition. The mid and high frequency controls have been deoxidized with DeoxIT spray. All of the original mounting screws for the woofers have been replaced with stainless steel hex socket screws. The fabric on both grilles has been replaced. The original grille fabric, which possesses some stains and other forms of wear, will be included (uninstalled) upon request. A previous owner installed new foam woofer surrounds. Both of the new surrounds have overlapped seams which do not appear to leak any air or affect the functionality of the woofers. Their are a couple of minor aesthetic differences between the two speakers. One of the metal mesh grilles over the mid-range domes is painted black and the other is bare metal. Also, one of the woofer cones is slightly lighter in color than the other as shown. Cosmetically, they possess normal signs of age and previous use (see pictures).
