I’m reluctantly parting with my Acoustic Research AR91 speakers. These AR91’s sound excellent. The woofers were freshly professionally refoamed- otherwise, to the best of my knowledge (I’m the second owner), nothing else has been done to the crossovers or switches. I just recently replaced the foam around the midrange drivers; the tweeter foam is missing. I replaced the grille cloth myself as well- the staples are visible from the sides and top but not from the front. Both logos are present. Close, not consecutive, serial numbers. All drivers work as they should- one midrange dome has a small depression which doesn’t affect the sound at all. The cabinets are in pretty good overall condition with some minor scratches though the veneer seems to be separating on several bottom corners and a small piece is missing- I think the integrity of the cabinets is still excellent as evidenced by the excellent bass response.
