These are built like a tank, beautiful solid wood cabinets, back when AR made real quality speakers. The s model of the 58 series is said to be one of the best. They were just professionally re-foamed by: Chasrock Services, right here in Rochester, New York. High quality surrounds and audiophile voice coil alignment. Fully tested and sound as good as new! The grills and cabinets are extremely nice , please look closely at all the pictures and you will agree. They are not perfect, but still outstanding for this vintage and extremely presentable. They are extremely heavy 48 lbs each before packaging, you can feel the quality of these. When packed they will be close to 60 lbs. I think it’s worth a few extra bucks, and they can’t be replaced.
