This is a beautiful pair of rare 1961 AR ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AR 2A SPEAKERS. These speakers seem to be in good working order but my little receiver can’t really push’em so that will be up to you. The one missing the screen appears to have had a tweeter repair done at some point but I’m not absolutely positive of that. Other than that this is one of the nicest pair of these that I’ve seen! The cabinets are very nice, and the remaining screen is clean and free of stains. They are from a non-smoking home and have no funky smells. There is some scratching on the cabinets, but nothing deep and they polished up very nice. The screen frame on the speaker missing the cloth screen is broken but the three pieces are there and would be an easy repair. Both brass AR plaques are nice and intact, as well. These are a perfect candidate for restoration as they are 95% there now, or would be completely usable as is! 1 x 1,375 dome tweeter. 2 x 5 cone midrange. 1 x 10 cone woofer.
