Vintage AR-2ax 3-Way Home Stereo Speakers. All components working well but pots are a little bit scratchy: Highs and mids are heard loud and clear but when adjusting pots, they sometimes drop in volume. Crossovers have original capacitors. Speakers have never been opened, Low frequency speaker sounds full and strong with no hints of rubbing or distortion- This early model used cloth surrounds and they do not suffer from rotting foam like later versions. The cabinets and grills are all original and in. Nice condition showing no nicks or scratches, No veneer damage, One small chip on back of one corner of one speaker, but not that noticeable, the bottoms are almost as clean as the tops, “see pictures”. Research shows the 1st runs of the AR-2ax were 1964 to 1970 with 125,000 units produced (in sequential order). Serial #s for this pair are 110752 and 110847. DCR measures 6.5 ohms and 6.6 ohms.
