Vintage pair of AR-1 speakers. 25″ inches by 11″ by 14. Blond finish on the maple, white brown with gold thread grill cloth. This pair was found at an estate sale. I hooked them up to my CD player. They both sound very good when hooked up to the CD player. I was amazed at how good and loud they sounded through that cheap player. I had to adjust the dials in the back of the speakers after I hooked it up. They were a bit scratchy throughout the range, but they both settled on a good sweet spot. Both woofers and tweeters sounded good after I dialed them in. I played the speakers at a moderately high volume for 20 minutes with no problem. I played AC/DC heavy drumbeats and guitars. The veneer is coming off one of the speakers as well as the molding. The other speaker is in better condition. There is only so much I can check. They are sealed units. They are heavy, 60lbs each. I can wrap them in padding and cardboard no charge. Please ask any questions. You just need to pay for it separately. I have additional pictures of the speaker without the grill. Ask me a question and I can send them to you. The grill peeled off with no damage except the badge fell off. I have the badge. The speaker cones are damage free.
