These are beautiful, original AR solid walnut speaker stands. From our personal collection. The nicest pair we have had. AR made four versions of these stands; the initial design was solid walnut, all sections, legs and cross members and used a drill and peg fastening method to attach the legs to the cross members. This was followed by a solid walnut stand with a dove tail fastening method. Later production were all solid walnut but utilized a mortise and tenon fastening method. Latest production, and those most often seen, were solid walnut legs and walnut veneer cross members. These are the earliest type, all solid walnut with drill and peg fastening of the legs to the cross members. AR stands ranged from dark walnut to light walnut. I would call these light walnut. This is the first time in years that we have offered the original AR solid walnut style. We applied a fresh coat of oil and hand buffed them to a silky finish. There are no significant dings or scratches. New felt pads are included to place on the tops of all legs. We have taken a complete set of photos for your review. Note; the photo with the empty AR-3a Limited cabinet is for illustration only. These will accommodate all of the larger, early model AR speakers including the AR-3a, AR-3, AR-2a, AR-2ax, AR-5, AR-10 PI, AR-11, AR-12 and others. At their maximum points, the stands are 12 1/2 in.
