Early issue Acoustic Research AR1U-the U stands for unfinished. Produced 1954 and 1955 having the 7 post binders for tweeter control-it later. Used a more standard rotating knob. Boxes are solid and intact but have scratches and defects but repairable. Someone will probably strip and take it back to its original woodgrain finish. Serial number is 3525 or 3523. This is for only one speaker. I have not removed the grille as there dissenting opinions on whether or not to do so. The grille cloth is in surprisingly good condition and the more I look at it I think it has been replaced at some point. If forced to remove it to confirm driver it will in all likelihood have to be redone. Both drivers are working and sound correct.
