Acoustic Research AR-5 Loudspeakers. These AR-5’s are in excellent condition, with all original drivers. A few scratches in the walnut veneer have been refinished with Watco Oil. The corners are all intact. Refer to the photos for a better description. The grill fabric was replaced with open-weave linen, a very close match to the original AR fabric. At 8 ohms impedance they are an easy load on any amplifier. The woofers were professionally re-foamed about three years ago, and put out impressive bass. The midranges and tweeters are 8 ohm versions of AR-3a drivers, and integrate well with the woofers. Very accurate sounding speakers. A copy of AR-5 literature and the AR Loudspeaker Owner’s Manual are included. Each AR-5 weighs 53 lbs. Please wait for me to send an invoice before paying.
