Great working set of Acoustic Research AR-2ax in an oiled walnut case. Great 60s-70s mid century American styling in the wood finish. 10 in acoustic suspension woofer, 3 ½ in midrange cone, 1 3/8 in mm high frequency hemispherical dome. All sounds like it works but we have not taken them apart to test each component. I have a video showing off these beauties that I have added below. In the video I test a pioneer QX949 as well which is also available. These are a great staple of american home audio and come in a quality unseen today. By many standards, these are still amazing speakers. Serials: #245008 #244821 Condition report: Great condition in every way physically. No tears in the fabric fronts. Wood case in perfect shape. Everything intact including the metal signs. These speakers were aquired from an older woman who had kept them pristine for many years, cleaned them often and hardly used them. Along with this, there was a pioneer QX-949, a pair of acoustic research 2AX, NIB AR7s, and a Teac A-4010 GSL in original box and rarely used all in very good condition.
