Yes, AR was extremely accommodating during the early years in MA. It is hard to see why AR would do this as all internal components were changed to the AR-3a design. Lighter than many AR-3a we see. More like the later AR-10PI Series. Sequential serial numbers, 70708, 70709. Fully tested with test equipment and a music source. You will not be disappointed. All drivers but one tweeter are original to these cabinets. We replaced one tweeter that was not to spec. The woofers have new surrounds installed by VINTAGE-AR while centering the voice coils during the process. All four level controls have been replaced with lifetime guaranteed controls. Both tweeter crossover capacitors have been replaced with new, life time guaranteed capacitors. The midrange and woofer capacitors are the late production Sprague capacitors which seldom fail and all measure to spec. We will guaranty all capacitors for our lifetime. The grille frames are our strong Masonite replacement frames. The cloth is a replacement cloth that we use on all AR-3a speakers. It is imported off white linen with the little slubs running up and down the fabric just like the original. Logo plates are new laser engraved plates manufactured for VINTAGE-AR, brass with a little gold to prevent tarnishing, on a burgundy plastic backing. You will never need to polish or replace. The cabinets have been completely refinished, lightly sanded, stained, new finish applied and hand rubbed to a silky finish. One cabinet, had a chip on a rear corner which has been repaired and shown in one of the photos. The grain structure is striking. We have taken critical pictures of all sides, tops and bottoms so you can judge the condition yourself. These will give you many years of good service. The AR-3a utilizes a heavy 12 inch ceramic magnet woofer, a 2 inch dome midrange and a 3/4 inch hard dome tweeter. The AR-3a is a 4 ohm system and 25 watts r. Per channel minimum is recommended.
