Up for sale is a pair of vintage 1960’s AR2a speakers. The AR2a’s feature a 10″ woofer and two 5″ tweeters for treble range, in addition to a 1 3/8 super tweeter to for high frequency response. The result is smooth tone quality and that “east coast” sound that AR speakers are known for. The speakers are housed in a beautiful wood finish cabinet, giving the speakers a classic look. The speakers offered for sale in this listing are in great overall shape for their age. There is some slight damage to the front of one of the speakers which is shown in the photos. The bottom side of each speaker is scuffed as one would expect from moving around over the years. These speakers do not have consecutive serial numbers, and appear to have slightly different hues to their finish. These speakers have been tested and function. To the best of our knowledge, there has not been any restoration work done to these units. These speakers are well regarded in the audio community, making them a great addition to any serious audio collectors collection. Please view all photos carefully before purchasing.
