Unrestored Acoustic Research AR5 Vintage 3-way Speakers. These look to be original, unmolested survivors. One tweeter is missing its voice coil and will require repair or replacing. L havent opened the speakers up to investigate further other than to take out the damaged tweeter at which time I saw the original fiberglass stuffing is intact. The woofers have been refoamed at some point. They look and play well. The midranges look to be all original and also look and play well. The pots on both speakers are both fully intact and are functional but need cleaned. The walnut cabinets are well above average with mostly sharp corners and no major flaws. Some nicks and some scratches as you might expect but no deep gouges, split wood or corner seperation. The grilles are original and in really nice condition. One grille is missing its badge. With a new or repaired tweeter and a crossover recap these will be in very good working order. With a basic cabinet refinishing they will look outstanding.
