Here is a set of vintage acoustic research speakers. AR98 LS 12 inch woofer 8 inch mid woofer 2 dome set up on midrange and tweeter real walnut veneer. These have had the LSI upgrade, and I have recapped them. The sound is TREMENDOUS. Outstanding detail, deep bass, great highs. Cosmetically these are not perfect. Some light scuffing on top of speaker, the previous owner applied a bit too much glue on 8 inch woofer when he put on new surrounds. One mid dome has a small crease on it. I notice no sound problem as to compared to my other 4 sets of these. Price reflects these cosmetic issues. Grills are in great shape. These are about 65-70 lbs each.
