FOR REPAIR Vintage Pair Acoustic Research AR-5 Speakers. These worked fine when I bought them locally last year. Speaker 1: Needs tweeter repaired or (probably) new tweeter. I tore the front wire and only made it worse trying to fix it. Speaker 2: Needs new tweeter. Tore this wire too! Needs midrange front wire repaired. Midrange worked when I jumpered it from Speaker 1. Both speakers had been refoamed when I bought them. The cabinets are in solid condition with normal wear; no major flaws. The grilles are not cracked and have their original fabric.
