Really nice speakers in great condition considering they are 50+ year old Vintage Speakers. The AR2 was the second speaker AR released after their success with the AR1. Audio Reviews called this speaker the first low cost acoustic suspension speaker with extraordinarily smooth response. Provides a very clear string tone with natural quality totally unlike the metallic timbre that mars so many high end speakers. All speakers controls and audio capacitors properly functioning noise free. The other is original unfinished plywood and owner had it refinished to be a nice match. This speaker is was one of the best available in the 50’s and early 60’s. AR2’s let you experience the outstanding Bass AR is known for. It featured the famous Alnico magnet woofer with the massive cast frame. Original AR2 woofers used cloth surrounds exclusively and are highly reliable. These woofers look new and are properly functioning. The performance is tuned for those listening instruments and vocal artists. ORIGINAL Grills and Badges are in beautiful condition, see pictures. Cabinets are in in fantastic condition, Corners, seams, overall furniture grade lacquer finish. Speakers were shelf mounted when found in original condition.
