VERY NICE PAIR OF THE AR91 SPEAKERS. IVE HAD THESE ABOUT 6 YEARS NOW AND THEY ARE (IN MY OPINION) IN PERFECT WORKING CONDITION. ALL 6 DRIVERS ARE PERFORMING AS THEY SHOULD. THE CONTROLS ON THE BACK WORK AS THEY SHOULD. NEW SURROUNDS ON THE WOOFERS ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. THE ACOUSTIC BLANKETS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE GRILLS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE AR91 BADGES (VERY RARE) ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE CABS HAVE BEEN OILED, AND HAND RUBBED EVERY FEW MONTHS. THEY BASICALLY HAVE THE SAME FAMOUS WOOFER AS THE AR3A SPEAKERS. BUT THE TWEETERS AND MIDS HAVE EVOLVED INTO MUCH BETTER SINCE THOSE 1960’S SPEAKERS. THEY SOUND CLEARER AND FRESHER SOME HOW, AND CAN DEFINITLY HANDLE MORE POWER. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE SERIAL #’S ARE CONSECUTIVE: AR91M012446, AND AR91M012445. THESE SPEAKERS HAVE A FANTASTIC SOUND STAGE PRESENCE. THE TWEETER AND MID ARE POSITIONED AT THE JUST RIGHT HEIGHT FOR OPTIMUM LISTENING. I HAVE THEM POSITIONED AWAY FROM ANY SIDE WALLS, YET THE BASS STILL COUPLES INTO THE ROOM WITH VERY STRONG PERFORMANCE. NEVER BOOMY OR “OVER BASSY”. ITS INTERESTING TO NOTE THE ABSENSE OF ANY BASS UNTIL ITS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE. AND THEN WHEN NEEDED, ITS PRESENT AT A CONTROLLED LEVEL THATS VERY IMPRESSIVE. COMES WITH A COLLECTION OF AR91 PAPERS/BROCHURES THAT YOU WILL WANT TO KEEP FOR YOUR REFERENCE. IN MY OPINION ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMING AR SPEAKERS EVER DESIGNED REGARDLESS OF THEIR SIZE, OR PRICE. I TAKE PICTURES/VIDEOS OF ALL THE ELECTRONICS I SELL IN WORKING CONDITION JUST BEFORE PACKING. See for yourself how. Nice they look, and how nice they sound! Ps those flower pots on top of these speakers aren’t real flowers, and no water in the pots, so, no water rings here.
