Pair of vintage AR-2ax stereo speakers. They have been fully restored and are ready to use: woofers were professionally refoamed, two new replacement tweeters were installed (originals included, though one needs restoration to make it work, as the connecting wires are broken off), wood cabinets were oiled and waxed, and the frequency control pots were cleaned with Deoxit (they work, but are still a little crackly – best to set them and leave them alone, or replace with new pots). Original grille cloth is in great shape with no holes or stains, and both metal badges are present. Cabinets show a couple of light scratches and nicks here and there, but nothing too bad (see close up for the worst). They look great and sound even better – I would keep them, but I just don’t have room for any more speakers. Be sure to scroll down to see all 19 photos for the most detail.
