Perfect pair of replacement grilles for Acoustic Research AR-2 and AR-2a speakers. These are complete with our replacement grille cloth used in many of our restorations along with new logo plates which we have specially manufactured. Please note that we didn’t have a pair of these speakers for illustrations. We utilized a pair of AR-2ax. However, the correct logo plate is shown on the second photo. The grille frames are custom made and are stronger than the originals. The grille cloth is an off white linen material with the little “slubs” (heavy pieces of thread) running up and down the grille. It is the same thread count and weave as one of three AR used on the AR-3a speakers. The logo plates are a brass alloy with a little gold to avoid tarnishing and laser engraved. The font is an exact match to the original plate. We have used an adhesive backing rather than the screw mount which sometimes broke off. Both the AR-2 and AR-2a utilized the square AR Inc.
